  • Reading & Eating at Ortanique
    Apr 28, 2013 - 6:00pm to Apr 28, 2013 - 6:00pm
    Ortanique on the Mile
    278 Miracle Mile

Cindy has decided to combine her love for reading and cooking into a can’t miss event. She will be creating a menu that will reflect the book she is reading at the time. $35 per person. The featured book will be Nicole Krauss “THE HISTORY OF LOVE”.

    SYNOPSIS:

Chronicling the survival of the human spirit against all odds, Nicole Krauss’s The History of Love is written with earthy humor to mask pain and to question the universe. The story is centered around the unofficial obituary of octogenarian Leo Gursky’s life whose lost novel, called The History of Love, was published years ago in Chile under a different man’s name. Full of a cast of eccentric and unforgettable characters Krauss delivers her prose with poetic tenderness and her imagination encompasses many worlds.

As an added bonus for this month’s “Reading & Eating”, we will be doing something special in honor of National Poetry Month!

The evening will start with a brief Sparkling reception, followed by a tasting menu filled with Cindy’s tantalizing creations. Space is limited to a 24 person max, so don’t miss your opportunity to discuss the hottest books of the season and have a delicious meal at the same time.

For more information please contact Ashley at 305-446-7710 or email her at [email protected] for dates and pricing.
