    Bring the kids and come out for Family Day on Aragon- a day of family friendly, fun activities on the second Saturday of each month at the Coral Gables Art Cinema, Books & Books, and the Coral Gables Museum.This month’s activities include:

    Books & Books, 265 Aragon Avenue: 10am
    Night Night Soldier story time. Major Manners and his Character Command present his first mission: “Nite-Nite Soldier.” It is NOT just a story.  It is an exciting bedtime march from the bathtub to lights out!

    Coral Gables Art Cinema, 260 Aragon Avenue: 11am
    Join the Gables Cinema as we continue our family and youth film screenings as part of Family Day on Aragon, in partnership with the Coral Gables Museum and Books & Books. This month we journey deep into the African rainforest and meet Oscar, an adorable young chimp with an entertaining approach to life, and a remarkable story of individual triumph and family bonds in the Disney film Chimpanzee. The world is a playground for little Oscar and his fellow young chimps who love creating mayhem. Full of curiosity, a zest for discovery, joy and a love for mimicking others, Oscar — and his family — navigate the complex territory of the forest. It’s an inspiring and life-changing adventure, narrated by Tim Allen, that overflows with courage and charm that will capture your heart. The film is rated G and 78 minutes long.

    Special ticket prices are $6.50 for children 12 and under with free popcorn & $7.50 for ages 12 and up. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.movietickets.com, at the Cinema box office during regular film screening hours and at the door the day of.

    Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Avenue: All day
    Children will discover the important relationship between buildings and nature through our new exhibit, The Glass House, A Chapel in a Cathedral of Nature. Enjoy free admission to all of our exhibits, a complimentary kids tour, gallery hunt and arts & crafts activity. Play a round of putt putt in our Mini Golf exhibit ($3pp). And cool off with some gelato by Peterbrookes Chocolatier ($4pp). Join the Museum every second Saturday for free admission, kids activities and performances!
