    In honor of Belgian Independence Day, Angelique Euro Café is asking customers to raise a glass and toast to charity on July 26th.  The neighborhood gem on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables has teamed up with the Coral Gables Community Foundation and Belgium brewmasters from Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Leffe, to offer a four-course beer-infused menu with beverage pairings in between.  The dinner is priced at $42 per person, with a portion of each going directly to the Foundation.    The event takes place from 6:30 – 9pm and commences with a nine-step ritual given by the brewmasters on the perfect pour, and continues with the explanation of the brewing process, brands’ history and reason for particular food pairing.  Featured menu items include Drunken Chorizo, a Spanish Chorizo cooked in Leffe sauce, Hoegaarden Moules,  P.E.I. mussels steamed in a Hoegaarden and a white wine broth, Braised Short Ribs served with gorgonzola potato cake and herb baby carrots, and Apple Tart & Seasonal Berries for dessert.  Reservations required and paid in full in advance, please contact305-529-9922 or visit online at www.angeliqueeurocafe.com.
    Established in 1991 by community leaders, the mission of the Coral Gables Community Foundation is to foster program and initiatives that enhance the quality of life for people living and working in “The City Beautiful” Coral Gables.  Since its inception, the Foundation has helped the youth, elderly, and disabled, and have provided dental care for needy children, sponsored cultural activities, awarded academic, dance, and music scholarships, and offered seminars to educate the public on important health, finance, and estate-planning issues.
