Coral Gables > Miami: Why Brunch is Better in the Gables - Miracle Mile

Brunch in Coral Gables

One of the great things about Coral Gables is that there’s no shortage of unique restaurants. And with Mother’s Day around the corner, the options for taking Mom out to a special brunch are not only staggering, but definitely better than brunch in Miami proper.

Whether she’s in the mood for something adventurous or prefers comfort food, there’s sure to be a place that will make her feel right at home.

Home Cooking

It’s sometimes hard to remember that Florida is in the South, and draws at least as much from Southern-style cuisine as it does from the Caribbean. With that in mind, there are more than a few places that specialize in that “local” flavor. Whether it’s the Farm Eggs and Maple Sausage Sandwich from Swine or the Pulled Pork Benedict from The Local, Southern cuisine is readily found and easily devoured.

The Continental

Miami is definitely an international destination as far as the rest of the world is concerned, and there’s plenty of European fare to choose from when making brunch plans. Bulla Gastrobar may focus on the Iberian Peninsula, but their Huevos Bulla are the signature dish that has locals and visitors alike talking.

Meanwhile, Angelique Euro Cafe goes in the opposite direction, giving diners a sampling of tastes from around the continent, such as the Norwegian eggs and the tortilla Catalana.

The Deep, Deep South

Is the usual brunch fare just not quite satisfying anymore? Perhaps a change of pace might help out.  Divino Ceviche can certainly offer one possible alternative with all-can-eat-and-drink ceviche and mimosas.

If Peruvian fare is just not far enough south for you, perhaps Australian? Threefold Cafe brings Aussie takes on classic dishes as well as a few tastes from nearby neighbors like Emperor Nasi Goreng.

Coral Gables has all the brunch options anybody could want, whether it’s for Mother’s Day or just a lazy Sunday. And once brunch is over, there’s still plenty to see and do in general and along Miracle Mile in particular. Look over some menus in the morning, check out some shops in the afternoon and grab some fun in the evening. All of it can be had in Coral Gables.
