Come Out to Family Day on Aragon!
Second Saturdays are for family fun in Downtown Coral Gables! This weekend, gather the kids and the whole family and head to Aragon Avenue for a full day of entertainment at the Gables Cinema, Books & Books, the Coral Gables Museum and throughout Aragon Avenue.
“Despicable Me” at the Coral Gables Art Cinema- When a criminal mastermind uses a trio of orphan girls as pawns for a grand scheme, he finds their love is profoundly changing him for the better. Kids & Cash: A Reading, Crafts and Cupcakes at Books & Books- Head to Books & Books on Saturday, April 8 starting at 11:30 a.m. and celebrate Family Day by sharing tips for kids about saving and making money with children’s author Elaine King. Sample delicious cupcakes and inspirational stories by kid-trepreneur Delphine Nephtalie Dauphin, who started Joy’s Yummy Cupcakes. Plus, GOGO MOAD! On the Road will provide a hands-on craft project fun for the whole family.
Bring a new or gently used children’s book and drop it in the Read to Learn Books for Free bin. Collected baby books and picture books stock 40 bookshelves around town for young readers to take home for free.
HATCH Miami at the Coral Gables Museum- Celebrate local women artists and entrepreneurs at HATCH Miami, an outdoor fair taking place on Saturday, April 8 starting at 11 a.m. at the Coral Gables Museum. Shop handmade and artisanal goods, locally produced foods and small-batch provisions + live music and more.
