Black Friday on The Mile

Black Friday Shopping in Miami

Black Friday Shopping at Miracle Mile

It’s almost that time of year again. People who’ve only just finished sleeping off their turkey dinners will line up at stores across Coral Gables as the clock strikes midnight and Black Friday shopping will commence.

With all the shops on Miracle Mile, it’s best to have a good working plan in order to get the best deals and save not only money, but energy as well. It’s going to be an exciting day and a great chance to knock out all your holiday shopping in Miami with one fell swoop!

Going Big

The major outlets such as Barnes & Noble, AT&T, and Men’s Wearhouse are likely going to either put out circulars on the Sunday before Thanksgiving or there will probably be special inserts in local newspapers on Thursday itself. Large retailers often add special Black Friday deal sections to their specific web sites around Wednesday, if not sooner, so be sure to check there.

Be extra careful with email spam filters, since businesses that people frequent will almost certainly send out some last minute emails detailing the deals they were sitting on. Don’t be afraid to look back over prior ads and purchases from the previous year to get an idea about what might be found this year.

All Deals Great and Small

While the big deals get a lot of the buzz on Black Friday, there are plenty of smaller, but no less attractive, deals that are going to be available for the taking. One area to keep an eye on will be meal specials at various restaurants. After a hard day of shopping and bargain hunting, scoring a good deal on a great meal really hits the spot.

Don’t overlook the potential deals to be had on accessories instead of big ticket items. While a good suit or high-end watch might not be marked down, accessories such as belts and wallets just might get a big price reduction. And while a brand new smartphone might not be deeply discounted, cases and screen guards are a good bet to be picked up.

Coming Back Around

There are only so many hours in the day.

If you don’t get all your shopping done, that’s OK, because Small Business Saturday program occurs after Black Friday.  All the attention which was focused on the big stores can now be redirected to the smaller local shops, which have more boutique offerings and more local feel.
