STREETSCAPE BULLETIN Miracle Mile & Giralda Avenue
Monday, October 17 – Sunday, October 23, 2016

The work being done this week is repetitive for the next few weeks in each block being worked on. Simultaneous roadway reconstruction work along Miracle Mile from Salzedo to Ponce de Leon Boulevard and Ponce de Leon to Galiano Street will continue this week along with work at Giralda Avenue. This work includes trench excavation, drainage work, irrigation pipe and tree installation.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE*
Pedestrian access to the stores will be maintained at all times. New paths and crosswalks are temporarily being installed as constructions progresses.

MIRACLE MILE CONSTRUCTION – from October 17, 2016 to October 23, 2016

Block 100 – Trench excavation for the main storm sewer system to start mid-week and continue to next week.
Block 200 –Trench excavation for the irrigation system, irrigation pipe installation and storm sewer drainage work. Storm sewer pipe installation including concrete pour around pipe. Irrigation pipe installation to follow drainage pipe installation. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times on the south side of Miracle Mile from Le Jeune Road to Douglas Road.
This schedule may change due to inclement weather and/or any other unforeseen circumstances.
GIRALDA AVENUE CONSTRUCTION – 100 BLOCK – from October 17, 2016 to
October 23, 2016
Existing asphalt removal and re-grading at the beginning of the week.
The street is now closed to vehicular traffic; however, pedestrian access to the businesses will be maintained at all times for the duration of construction. Water barriers have been installed in order to separate the work zone and pedestrian traffic. Temporary crossings have been installed and will be relocated as construction continues.

MIRACLE MILE PARKING VOUCHERS
The City of Coral Gables has made parking vouchers available to merchants for the use of their customers. The
vouchers were provided to the Business Improvement District (BID) for distribution. Please call the BID at
305-569-0311 to pick up your vouchers.
GIRALDA AVENUE PARKING VOUCHERS
Giralda’s Restaurant Row Offering Free Valet. In partnership with the City, Restaurant Row merchants on the 100 block of Giralda Avenue will provide complimentary valet vouchers to their customers, at their discretion.
A Valet Station is now operating at the northeast corner of Ponce de Leon Boulevard and Giralda Avenue for lunch (11:00 am – 5:00 p.m.) and dinner (6:00 pm – 12am) Monday to Saturday. There is another station is located on the west side of Galiano Street between Giralda Avenue and Aragon Avenue operating Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during lunch from 11:00 a. to 3 pm.

Bike Fixit Station Encourages Biking Around Downtown Coral Gables
If you’re biking in Downtown Coral Gables and need to fix a flat tire on your bike, you’re going to love this new amenity. A new Fixit Station is located in front of the Coral Gables Museum, at the corner of Salzedo Street and Giralda Avenue.
