Monday, July 4, 2016 – Sunday, July 9, 2016
The following construction schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances and/or weather conditions. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times.
The Phase 1 and 2 root pruning, root barrier and structural soil placement has been completed. We anticipate commencing on Phase 3 root pruning in about 2-3 weeks – mid July 2016.
Miracle Mile Roadway Reconstruction
We anticipate commencing the roadway reconstruction on July 5, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. This will include the full closure of the eastbound lane (south side) of Miracle Mile from Le Jeune Road to Douglas Road. Roadway reconstruction and oak removals will be done at night (10pm to 7am) in order to minimize the impact to the vehicular traffic, as well as the impact to businesses. Eight double-side signs have been placed along Miracle Mile median advising all stakeholders that all businesses are open throughout the entire construction process. Additional pedestrian signs will be placed once the sidewalk demolition work begins.
Landscape Removals (Trees and Shurbs) – South Side Only
All trees and shrubs have been removed on the south side. Depending on the progress of the roadway reconstruction, the oak tree removals can begin towards the end of the week of July 4th.
