Coral Gables Hosts Iconic Fashion Walk + Shop

Fall fashion is here and shoppers are encouraged to walk + shop for exclusive fall deals, while being royally pampered and sipping on some bubbles along the way!

Miami, FL-September 23, 2015 – The Business Improvement District (BID) is encouraging locals to step out of their summer attire and gear up for fall fashion trends at the new Iconic Fashion Walk + Shop event on Thursday, October 15th, from 6pm to 9pm. The event is also celebrating the founding of Coral Gables in 1925, which marks 90 years of fabulous South Florida fashion!

“For almost 20 years, the BID has been honored to be a part of this community by promoting commercial vitality to Miracle Mile and Downtown Coral Gables through marketing, advertising and signature events,” said Marina Foglia, Executive Director of the BID. “Hence, the BID’s inaugural Iconic Fashion Walk + Shop!”

This event is calling all trendsetters and shopaholics to join in on a walk + shop spree at your favorite boutiques in the heart of the Gables, such as ISA Boutique, Essence, Cattiva, Flirt & Flutter, J Del Olmo Bridal Gallery, Melissa Shoes, just to name a few. Every participating shop will provide attendees the chance to enhance their wardrobe with exclusive fall deals!

As a fun way to keep with the city’s celebration theme, each boutique will be hosting one of Miami’s best-known fashion bloggers, who will each dress up as an iconic fashion figure of the 1920s! Keep a look out for Coco Chanel and Clara Bow! Guests can meet, greet and even shop with participating fashion bloggers on-hand to give their expert styling advice on how to fill your closet with the most on trend outfits for fall.

For convenience, shoppers can utilize the centralized valet system. Guests can drop off their car at any valet station throughout the area and pick it up at the nearest station when they are ready to leave so there is no need to worry about lugging around those heavy shopping bags! And that’s not all. Restaurants are also joining in on the fun by offering shoppers food and drink specials to keep the party going. The event also has goodie bags curated by Downtown Coral Gables — a surprise awaits for those who grab one!

“We are honored that we are able to commemorate the city’s 90th anniversary by celebrating the past,” said Mindy McIlroy, Board President of the BID and VP at Terranova Corp. “We look forward to the future with our First Iconic Fashion Walk + Shop.”
