The Gables is the perfect place for breakfast – especially if it’s a power breakfast to give you the energy you need to get through a big meeting in the area or a meeting over breakfast.

Coral Gables’ location has always been one of the area’s biggest perks. We’re nestled right between some of Miami’s more suburban areas and the busy Downtown. As Brickell and the surrounding areas continue to grow as an international business hub, the central location is increasingly convenient – so, Brickell and Downtown commuters, make a pit stop in Coral Gables for breakfast on your way to work.

If you’re one of the lucky ones who lives or works in the area, you’ve probably already tapped into the very bustling breakfast scene in the area, but here’s a list of restaurants in Downtown Coral Gables that are open for breakfast:

  1. Chocolate Fashion: The weekends at Chocolate Fashion, a small bakery and cafe, are busy. But during the week, especially if you’re there early, you can usually find a good spot to sit down and enjoy a cappuccino and quiche.

  1. Pasion del Cielo: Downtown Coral Gables’ resident specialty coffee shop is the perfect place to find a seriously caffeinated cup of Joe to start your morning right. Pick up a croissant or other light bite and you’ll be set for a productive morning.

  1. Crema Gourmet: Crema opened quietly a few months back and has been discovered by Gables breakfast devotees. They have an extensive breakfast menu including favorites like pancakes, breakfast sandwiches and yogurt, plus fresh juice, smoothies and, of course, coffee.

  1. Greenlife: This organic spot on Giralda serves energy-packed breakfast staples like toasts, oatmeal, omelettes and more. Pair that with a fresh juice and you should have all the energy and focus you need to get through any day – including Mondays.

  1. Threefold Cafe: Locally sourced, seasonal produce and Panther Coffee? Yes please. There’s a reason why Threefold Cafe quickly found a devoted following in Coral Gables. They have a robust breakfast menu with unique Australian-inspired dishes, a nice airy dining room and a kids play area in the back.

  1. Little Bread Cuban Sandwich Co: Little Bread opens at 11 a.m. so it’s really more an everyday brunch place, but we’re so thrilled with this new addition to the area that we included it anyway. Stop by for Cuban favorites with new twists and end your meal with a Cuban coffee.

  1. Delicatessen Patagonia: At Patagonia, an Argentinean delicatessen, you can have breakfast and load up for the day while you’re there too. Start your day with a coffee and pastry and grab a sandwich or sweet treat for later.

  1. Sacha’s Cafe: Sacha’s is a favorite for picking up breakfast to take to the whole office. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy to cater your office meetings, this is the place.

  1. Two Sisters Restaurant: Two Sisters is a fine dining restaurant at the Hyatt Regency. If you’re hosting someone from out of town at the hotel, having a meeting in one of the nearby buildings or want to go somewhere where you can make a reservation and be sure you have a table, Two Sisters is what you’re looking for. Plus, they open bright and early at 6:30 a.m., so they’re an early bird favorite.
