My Ceviche Opens On Miracle Mile

Patricia Guarch Wise

I am a My Ceviche addict. Truly, it’s an obsession that took a turn to the serious when I landed at MIA after two weeks in Italy and drove straight to the new My Ceviche location in Coral Gables.

I’d been waiting for the big day, peeping in the windows and watching the construction process and finally it came while I was out of the country.

Before we get any further, I’ll tell you what I usually order: the coconut ceviche bowl. I was a bit surprised when I first visited the Miracle Mile location to learn that they’d put a bit of a spin on the menu and are trying out a new concept. As a devotee of the South Miami location, because it was the closest one to me, this surprised me a bit and forced my boyfriend into trying something new because they don’t have the tuna burrito bowl. But no matter, the same flavors are all there and I’m happy to be a part of the test demographic.

Honestly, even if they only sold one thing – the traditional ceviche – I’d still get it regularly.

For those unfamiliar with the My Ceviche brand, a local but fast growing chain with a handful of locations scattered around the city, it’s a fast-casual take on ceviche. Order your ceviche (fish, octopus, shrimp or all of the above), pick a base (rice, lettuce or quinoa) and then add your favorite sauce (Aji Amarillo, Rocotto, Traditional, Coconut, Asian, Caribeño). All ceviche is served with sweet potato, corn, red onions, jalapeño, tomato, radish and cilantro, estilo Peruano.

Don’t skip the spiced popcorn and don’t worry if you can’t decide what to get the first time. Be sure that you download their super convenient app where you can place an order in advance and they’ll have it ready to pick up. Plus, they have a rewards system that totally pays off – every $100 spent you get $10 free. You can always come back and try them all until you settle on a go-to order like I have.
