To me, there’s no such thing as too much sushi. I had dinner last weekend, on both Friday and Saturday, at Su-Shin Izakaya. I’ve already sung their praises on here before so it’s time to try somewhere new like Ikura Sushi Lounge. Restaurant Week seems like the perfect time to try their tuna tartare and a roll like the appropriately named Giralda Roll (salmon, tuna, avocado, tobiko, crispy flakes, soy paper).

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar Restaurant Week menu is has a perfectly balanced blend of family friendly options. Even your family’s pickiest eater will find something satisfying in this menu of everyone’s favorites like Double Breast of Chicken (roasted white wine, mushroom, leek and thyme sauce) or the Petite Filet Mignon paired with a starter of either ceviche or Portobello & Spinach Salad.

While Fleming’s is an old favorite around these parts, there are always fun and new places popping up like Uvaggio Restaurant & Wine Bar where their Restaurant Week specials include Yellow Gazpacho (avocado, poblano crema and toasted corn) with a main course of Octopus – my favorite!

Coral Gables has loads of wine bars and luckily, oenophiles can enjoy varying menus and a variety of wine specialties. Continuing on the “wine bar” menu exploration, we’re eyeing the menu over at Cibo Wine Bar. Hopefully we’ll have time to make it over there during the remaining days of restaurant week, because everything sounds positively delicious, and of course, made even better with a good glass of vino. I’m going with the Shrimp Diavolo (black tiger shrimp in a spicy wine garlic, tomato sauce).

After all those meals accompanied by wine, I’m looking ahead and planning a meal around beer. Fritz & Franz Bierhaus is not only slammed with World Cup related fun right now, they’re also sporting a special Restaurant Week menu filled with German goodies and more than twenty German and Austrian beers on tap. USA! USA! USA!
