Sure, Coral Gables is a Friday Happy Hour spot, and Giralda Under The Stars gets very full once a month, but if you’re in the Gables around lunch – you know that every single day the streets are abuzz. Downtown Coral Gables is a major lunchtime destination. A hub of international businesses, financial institutions and independent companies, Coral Gables’ streets are very full of very hungry people every day, mid-day.

I’ll run you through a few of my favorite lunch spots, because why not get out of your regular routine and finally get around to trying some of the lunch time places on this list that you’ve never visited?

Pete’s Authentic Cooking: This new “fresh, tasty, authentic” lunch spot is serving up very homemade menu items that will give you enough fuel to make it through the day, but won’t give you that heavy crash. Specials include mango and mint smoothies, bacon and swiss cheese quiche and black bean soup.

Le Petite Café: If you need a break from the bland walls of your cubicle, get a little cozy comfort in your day at le Petite Café. This French spot has a very lovely neighborhood vibe and a rather large menu with just about every combination of all your favorite French foods that you can imagine.

Baklava & Coffee: Baklava & Coffee is a little, sparsely decorated spot on Miracle Mile serving Panther Coffee and fresh Turkish pastries. If you’re in need of a quick mid-day pickup, this is your spot.
