The Gift Shop is a museum in it’s own right. It’s a bright and colorful space with a global and eclectic feel located right in the lobby of the Coral Gables Museum.

This unconventional museum gift shop isn’t full of watercolor postcards and the usual art museum paraphernalia; it’s a collection of curiosities that you can wear or use to decorate your home.

You’ll find cards designed by local artists like Valentina Ramos, goods made in Coral Gables’ sister city in Colombia, prints from the current Marine Stadium exhibit, by artist Matt Stock, whimsical wind chimes and children’s toys, graphite pencils shaped as conchs, incense from Paris in the most alarmingly wonderful scents you can imagine. There are vintage postcards from Florida, bamboo picnic sets, beaded bracelets, tea sets and more.

Already starting to think about holiday gifts, and the stress and money that come along with all that shopping? Look no further than The Gift Shop. The prices are reasonable (think: $8 incense, jewelry under $100), especially where everything feels so thoughtfully chosen. You’ll find the perfect wrapping paper and a gift for even the toughest person to shop for. Need a sure-thing gift for any Coral Gables resident? Consider one of the many architecture and history books highlighting Our City Beautiful.
