Sure you can dine at plenty of chain eateries and get tried-and-true fare like dishes from Chicken Kitchen, sandwiches from Panera Bread, Jimmy Johns & 100 Montaditos, and pizza from California Pizza Kitchen, but other local restaurants also offer great meals at really amazing prices.

Pardo’s Peruvian Cuisine offers some of the area’s top lunch bargains, usually priced under $10. This week, the specials menu includes deals like a quarter rotisserie chicken with cilantro rice for only $8.90. Savory Cuban dishes can be had from Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine (most lunch deals average $7.95 and offerings change daily) or at Bread + Butter, where specials also change daily but sandwiches like the grilled cheese with ropa vieja and red onion marmalade never fail to impress.

Sacha’s Cafe is another must-go spot, especially for soups and freshly made, quickly delivered European selections. Staples, like the rustico sandwich with smoked ham and smoked turkey breast, homemade quiches, and the couscous chicken salad are always great, along with warm dishes, like chicken cordon bleu or vegetable lasagne.

Have you heard about The Market? This fun, new spot offers cold-pressed fruit and veggie juices, blended items and plenty of grab-and-go items, like yogurt and power bars, and more. It’s the perfect stopover for those of you in a hurry who still want a nutritious meal.

And don’t forget: Until the end of June, you can take advantage of those great Coral Gables Restaurant Week lunch specials, available at a discount of 20% or more. Is it lunchtime yet?
